TO WHITE'S ANIMAL RESCUE

Lovely Rosie was found as a stray and taken to another rescue, where she was neutered. Sadly they had no space to keep her so they planned to release her back to the area where she was found, where locals were feeding her. Fortunately, we had space to take her in! The team caring for her felt she was far too affectionate and friendly to end up back on the streets if it could be avoided. 

Rosie has almost certainly been a pet at some point in her life; she absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than fuss and attention. She has settled into her foster home incredibly quickly and has shown herself to be a loving, friendly girl who loves spending time with her humans.

She did have a heart murmur detected with us which has been investigated. It seems it is present when she is stressed travelling to the vets. She has had a heart scan and does not require any medication or further treatment at present.

Rehoming criteria:  

• suitable for first time owners

• older children due to her unknown history

• no other cats  

• could potentially live with a calm, cat-savvy dog

• can be left for a working day 

• will need access to a garden 

Maya (black with blue collar), Mabel (grey) and Margot (black with no collar) are approx 7 month old sisters. They came in to rescue last month along with a fourth sister Maisie (recently adopted) as they had been an unwanted litter. We are looking either for 3 separate homes for the girls, or a home for Maya & Mabel together as a pair and a separate home for Margot. 

Maya is extremely affectionate and very confident - she loves to be with her humans and often follows her fosterer around the house purring, wanting a cuddle! Mabel (grey) equally loves a fuss and is a stunning, loving girl. Margot (black with no collar) is the most timid of the trio and takes a while to warm up to new people but is a love bug once she gets to know you! We think she will come out of her shell more in a calm home where she gets to be the centre of attention. 

These stunning sisters are sociable, playful and curious kittens with the sweetest temperaments. All three have been spayed, microchipped and started vaccinations. They are in foster in Fleet.

Hetty is a beautiful five-month-old girl who is looking for her forever home. Poor Hetty has had an unsettled start, after being rehomed as a young kitten and then the owners giving her up after not being able to care for her properly. She is now in foster looking for her forever home. 

She is a lively, playful girlie who is full of life and loves nothing more than having fun with her toys. When she is in full play mode, she isn’t particularly keen on being picked up and would much rather be busy playing and exploring! 

When it comes to naptime, Hetty becomes a completely different little girl. She loves nothing more than coming to find you, sitting on your lap, or cuddling up beside you for a lovely snooze. Hetty also absolutely loves her food and is not fussy at all. She is good with children and other cats. She has not been tested with dogs.

She is a gorgeous girl with a lovely personality and is waiting for the perfect family to call her own now that she has been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Please compelte an application form on the website if you think this could be with you. Hetty is in foster in Basingstoke.

Penelope is a really pretty young girl, approx 18 months old, who came in to rescue last month after being rescued from appalling conditions along with over 30 other cats. We took in 3 cats from this situation. Penelope is now in foster where she is experiencing love, safety and clean conditions probably for the first time in her life. Having arrived very scared, she has settled wonderfully in her foster home and is becoming very affectionate! However she will likely at first be uncertain of unfamiliar faces, and a new environment, so her adopters must be patient with her.

Penelope loves a fuss from her fosterers and likes to be near them, but she also likes time to herself where she will take herself off to a safe place for a rest. She does like to have all the attention to herself and gets a bit jealous of her fellow foster cats so a home where she is the only cat would be perfect. Penelope is looking for a calm, safe home where she will be really loved and spoilt.

Toby is a handsome young ginger & white boy, approx 2 years old, who came in to rescue last month after being rescued from appalling conditions along with over 30 other cats. We took in 3 cats from this situation. Toby is now in foster where he is experiencing love, safety and clean conditions probably for the first time in his life. Having arrived very scared, he has settled wonderfully in his foster home and is a fantastic little companion to his foster carers. However he will likely at first be uncertain of unfamiliar faces, and a new environment, so his adopters must be patient with him! 

Toby is a very sweet, content and companiable little man who best of all likes to sit with his fosterers on the sofa and watch TV! However, he has a sensitive side and doesn’t like programs that are very loud or scary. Toby likes a cardboard box to sit in too! Above all he just wants to spend time with his people. 

Toby would suit a home where he is the only cat (he finds other cats scary, understandably given his background and the conditions they were all in), and an adult-only home or a family with respectful teenagers. He’s looking for a calm, loving, safe home environment where he can chill out and get all the fuss (and ideally watch some TV!).

Daffodil is a beautiful, fluffy tripod girl who is now ready to find her forever home. She is estimated to be around 2-3 years old and came in to rescue from a vets where she had had to have one of her back legs amputated after sadly being surrendered with a nasty injury. 

Daffodil was initially stressed with all the change but has settled wonderfully in her foster home and has fully adjusted to life on 3 legs. She is a playful, affectionate girl who adores sitting on her fosterer’s lap whenever she sits down, particularly in the evening when watching TV! She loves human company and currently sleeps in her fosterer’s bed at night. Daffodil also has a playful side and will play for ages with her catnip toys. She also gets the zoomies! She always likes to be involved in what her fosterer is doing. 

Daffodil is looking for a calm home which is adult-only or with older, cat-savvy children/teenagers. She must be the only cat in the house and we don’t think she would like to share her home with a dog either. Daffodil will let you know when she’s had enough fuss by giving you a warning nip (without engaging her teeth) and it is important that at this point she is given some space. Daffodil does not enjoy car journeys so we are hoping she will find a home not too far from Reading, where she is in foster. She is happy being left home alone for several hours at a time. Daffodil is a really gorgeous soul who is looking for a calm, loving home where she will continue to be safe, loved and spoilt.

Cheddar (tuxedo) and Brie (tabby & white) are a pair of sisters who came in to rescue along with their siblings Parmesan & Mozzarella after being found straying. They were very young at the time and should still have been with their mum, who had been given away - fortunately she was reunited with them in foster after a few days. Their mum is Feta who is currently reserved for adoption. 

Cheddar and Brie are typical kittens; they are playful, entertaining and affectionate! They love to climb on their fosterer’s lap for fuss, and they also enjoy running, playfighting, and playing with their toys. They are bonded and must be adopted as a pair. 

Like all kittens, Cheddar and Brie need lots of stimulation and company so they are looking for a home where there will be someone around most of the time. They have been in foster with a family so are used to household goings-on, and would be suitable for most homes. They are neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated and are in foster in Padworth. 

Rehoming criteria: 

• can live with children of any age 

• can live with other cats and dogs 

• will need outside access 

• owners should be around the majority of the day 

The tree kittens came in to rescue with their mum, Pixie, at around 3 weeks old as their owner was sadly no longer able to care for them. Marshmallow was sadly orphaned at around the same time but luckily for her, Pixie adopted her and has raised her as one of her own alongside the others.

The kittens are to be adopted in the pairs indicated in the photos. Pink names are girls, blue names are boys. 

All 6 are typical kittens, who love playing with their toys, chasing one another and playfighting, and then curling up for a nap. They are very well-socialised and are confident and friendly. They have also seen dogs which they were fine with. 

These 6 are only young so will need lots of company and stimulation in the form of toys and play. They have been neutered, chipped and started vaccinations. They are in foster in Reading.

Mia is a gentle, pretty all-black girl who came in to rescue along with another cat, Maggie, due to a change in their owner’s circumstances. Mia is 2 years old. Sadly it seems that neither girls have had much interaction with humans at all despite coming from a home. 

Mia is not a feral cat and has always had a home although likely spent most of her time outside, just coming in for food. She initially spent a lot of time hiding in foster and did not want to interact with people. She was very hissy, although does not lash out. However, given a lot of time she now will sometimes sit on a lap and play with toys, but very much on her terms. She has bonded with one person in the foster home particularly.

We are therefore looking for a special sort of home for Mia where she can be given space and live outside if she wishes, but where there are people around who she could interact with on her own terms.

She would need a reasonably quiet and understanding home with no young children. She has lived with other cats so potentially could live with a sociable cat. She has not been around dogs and likely would be terrified of them. 

If living in an outdoor setting she would likely provide bonus pest control! She can live in a home with outside access, or a stable yard, large rural garden with outbuildings, or farm, would also suit her. If living total outside, Mia will need fresh food and water daily, cosy sheltered spots to sleep in, and adopters who are prepared to seek medical attention should she ever need it. She will need to be contained (eg in a stable) for about a month in order to get used to her new home before being allowed out.
