Hi, I’m Sam, a registered Veterinary Nurse, and I run a small, home-based cat rescue in Bramley, Hampshire. My mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need, giving them a second chance at a happy life.

We rely entirely on donations and the kindness of our community to continue our work. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us provide food, shelter, and medical care to the cats in our care.

The adoption fee is £185 per cat which includes:

neutering
microchip (there is a small fee to register/transfer ownership)
at least the 1st vaccination
up to date flea and worming
a Pet Remedy new home kit
5 weeks free insurance with Agria

Holly and Ivy

9 months old, female neutered

These girls are now looking for their new home. They are around 8 months old and came to me via a vets. They were very scared and feral when they came in December. Ivy had been treated at the vets for a cat bite abscess and both had to be trapped in order to get them veterinary treatment.

Since having them, they have gone from hiding pretty much constantly and only eating overnight, to more confident kittens who have started playing with toys.

They will need owners prepared to continue their socialisation and who understand they may never be lap cats. They have come so far though that I am sure with time and patience, they will continue to flourish.

Rehoming criteria:

• experienced cat owners
• no young children, teenagers plus
• no dogs
• possibly could live with a social cat

• outside access (will need to be kept in for a while though to bond) away from busy roads

Whiskers

12 years old, female neutered

Whiskers is an affectionate cat but enjoys attention on her terms. Her foster carer says Whiskers is very loving and will snuggle on her purring. However, she makes it very clear when she has had enough and will move away.

New owners must be respectful of this and give her space when she needs it. She will make a nice companion for someone who understands her independent nature.

She has enjoyed being on foster as an only pet and seems much happier there than she was in a home with other cats, dogs and a young child. She could potentially live with a small dog or with an older, male cat but preferably would be rehomed as the only pet.

Rehoming criteria:

some experience with cats
sensible teens plus
can live with a small dog
potentially could live with a male cat
can be left for a working day
direct access to a garden

Matilda

aapprox 15 years old, female

Matilda is currently staying at a vets where she was taken as a stray. Unfortunately I have no space currently so she is staying there temporarily. Although she was quite poorly when she was found, she has had full bloods which are all normal and she appears very healthy.

She is extremely affectionate and would love a lap to have cuddles on.

If you could offer this lovely older girl her forever home please get in touch.

As she was a stray we do not have much information about her but I am happy to have a chat to anyone who is interested in her to see if she could be a good match.

Matilda's rehoming criteria:

suitable for first time owners
children who are respectful
no dogs
no other cats
could be an indoor cat
can be left for a working day

Dottie

9 months, female neutered

Dottie is looking for a new home as she is not coping with the young children in her current home.

She would like a calm home where she will be given time to adjust to her new surroundings.

Dottie's rehoming criteria:

some experience with cats
no young children
no dogs
no other cats
will need outside access to a garden away from busy roads
can be left for a working day

Ralph (ADOPTED)

Meet the almost 1 year old Ralph, who is the latest arrival here. He has come in due to personal circumstances.

He is a rather handsome, cuddly boy

He has been neutered, microchipped and started his vaccinations.

Ralph's rehoming criteria:

some experience with cats
young children
no dogs
no other cats
currently an indoor cat but will need outside access to a garden away from busy roads
can be left for a working day

All our cats are placed into a foster home to start their rescue journey. Foster homes provide a safe and loving temporary home whilst the cat waits for a permanent home. If you would like to foster a cat, please complete our application form.

Your cat’s safety is our priority. We offer assistance with transferring the microchip details into your name, ensuring your new feline friend is properly registered to you. A correctly registered microchip is essential in case your cat ever goes missing, giving you the best chance of a happy reunion.

VACCINATIONS

Keeping cats healthy is vital. We ensure that all cats in our care receive essential vaccinations to protect them from preventable diseases, giving them the best start in their new homes.

We understand that parting with a pet is never an easy decision, and we’re here to help you navigate this difficult time with compassion and care. At White’s Animal Rescue, our priority is ensuring that every cat finds a safe and loving home.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

If you’re struggling with your cat’s behaviour, health issues, or a change in circumstances, we may be able to offer advice or support to help you keep them. Sometimes, small changes - like diet adjustments, vet check-ups, or behavioural advice - can make a big difference. Please reach out, and we’ll do our best to assist you.

HOW TO SURRENDER YOUR CAT

If you’ve made the difficult decision to give up your cat, we ask that you contact us first to discuss your situation. As a small, home-based rescue, we have limited space, but we will do our best to help. When surrendering a cat, we kindly ask for:

Full details about your cat – age, breed, temperament, medical history, and any special needs. Please complete our form.
A donation if possible – This helps cover vet care, food, and rehoming costs.
Patience – Finding the right placement can take time, but we’ll keep you updated.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Once your cat comes into our care, they will receive any necessary medical attention and be placed in a foster home or a suitable forever home. We carefully match our cats with new owners to ensure they go to a loving, stable environment.
